The Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Kavala was established in 1927 as a secondary cooperative, working under the Cooperatives law, having as members the 46 primary cooperatives in the provinces of Kavala, Nestos and Thassos, representing 6,504 members.
The new data that came in recent years with the increasing liberalization of international and local markets, the administration of the Union in cooperation with the workers decided to redefine many of the goals and economic and trade policies of the organization.
