The workshop “Kotsaris” has been founded in 2005 and remains loyal to the unique and traditional way of making fish roe. It is the only business on the field of fish roe at our region and the whole prefecture. The knowledge about the process of making the fish roe come from the whole Kotsariw family, considering that most of them are professional fishermen.
The first one who started creating professionally the fish roe is Andreas Kotsaris at the age of 25 years. he had learned many secrets from the older fishermen and even today, at his 75 his love for the product is very large, making him the best. The fish roe is a product that requires long time and great care and that is why the two brothers of him, Gerasimos and Ioannis, helped him, in order to make the product excellent and unique.
Carrying all this experience and knowledge , the workshop has passed to the younger of the family, Stelios Kotsaris. Keeping all the good advice and respecting the traditional producing way, has gained already the respect of the people of Mesologi and wants to get even bigger fame.
