On the slopes of Sinarades and at the valley of Skafonas in the Municipality of Parelion, Gramenos family has evolved over 50 years the ancient tradition of good wine. In the vineyards of the family Grammenou has grown with care and passion two Corfu’s varieties:
Kakotrygis and Petrokorithos. Great help to this effort is the poor soil and altitude which promote production of excellent quality grapes, which has a high density of fruit, sugars and aromatics.
In 2002 a modern winery was created equipped with presses, wine-making, refrigerators, barrels and bottling all of which contribute to production of excellent wines. Today the winery of the family has owned 30 acres of vineyards on the western slopes of Sinarades in Skafonas and the region, of which 20 acres are cultivated with the patented local white variety Kakotrygi, the rest of the red variety Petrokorythos.
