The history of the distillery SPARTINO Iliopoulou begins in late ’30s in Sparta, Laconia, where the three sons of Christos Iliopoulos, Panos, Ilias and Theodoros produce for the first time the orange juice “Iliopoulos”. The orange juice “Iliopoulos” had been quickly loved by local customers and beginned to win markets of the surrounding counties too. At the same time enriches the range of products with other types of juices and various alcoholic drinks suck as ouzo, brandy and liqueurs.
The name “SPARTINO” was first used in 1982 by the son of Panos Iliopoulos, Christos Iliopoulos. His vision was to create a new modern company capable of meeting the needs of the time. The passion in combination with the secrets of his distillering art who and the modern machinery, contribute to a dynamic entry and consolidation in the modern market. In new private facilities in the center of Sparta, the company manages to create a healthy and growing distillery.
Today the history of distillery Spartino Ilipoulos is continued by the brothers John and Panos Iliopoulos, children of Chris Iliopoulos. They are the third generation of family Iliopoulou who continues to operate at the distillery.
