EPIRUS: AGREEMENT WITH THE IOANNINA AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE FOR GOAT AND SHEEP MILK

Epirus has signed an agreement with the General Agricultural Cooperative of Ioannina – Farmers’ Union for sheep and goat milk. As announced by the GASI, the selling prices are €1.60 per kilo for conventional sheep’s milk and €1 per kilo for conventional goat’s milk.

“In view of the new dairy season, the General Agricultural Cooperative of Ioannina, after negotiating for the disposal of both conventional and organic goat and sheep milk of its producer group, has chosen to cooperate for the 2022-2023 dairy season with the dairy industry Ipiros.

The prices agreed are €1.60 per kilo for conventional sheep’s milk and €1 per kilo for conventional goat’s milk. The above prices are increased by €0,02 respectively for organic milk.

He goes on to say that GASI will continue to support its members by supplying them with top quality feed and by providing scientific support for the nutrition and hygiene of livestock. “Our common belief is to strengthen the group of sheep and goat farmers of the Cooperative with the entry of new producers in order to increase the quantity of milk imports, which will increase our negotiating capacity always for the benefit of the producers”.
